Student extern will be offered a $5,000 stipend for their participation.
Housing
Local options are available for summer session UNMC interns/externs and are all in proximity to the UNMC campus. These options run between $130 and $600 per month. This does not include transportation. Examples of nearby housing include:
- Clarkson College (http://www.clarksoncollege.edu/studentlife/housing/)
- UNO Scott Village (http://www.scottcampus.com/)
- Homewood Suites (http://www.omahadowntown.homewoodsuites.com/)
A portion of the $5,000 stipend can be used upfront for housing (including the above examples) and related costs for the 10 week externship. The student will need to secure housing in the Omaha, Nebraska, area for the duration of the externship.
The student will be required to provide a mailing address as proof of secured housing by May 1, 2018. The externship offer can be revoked if this deadline is not met. Housing options fill up fast. As soon as you are notified of acceptance, you should begin making arrangements.
Transportation
