Caitlin Ray (she/her/hers) joined CityMatCH in 2022 as the Grants Writer/Administrative Coordinator. She has a BA in English and Theatre from Hamline University, as well as an MA in English from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Louisville. Her dissertation focuses on the rhetoric of rare diseases in healthcare settings and advocacy work.
Prior to CityMatCH, Caitlin taught a variety of college-level writing classes, ranging from business communications to literature. She also worked with health sciences graduate students, faculty, and staff at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the University of Louisville writing centers. She is excited to continue helping healthcare writers communicate their ideas to a variety of audiences and contexts.
Outside of CityMatCH, Caitlin enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her two dogs. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the patient advocacy group, Myositis Support, and Understanding.
