CDC has announced the release of a supplemental issue of the Journal of Adolescent Health, providing findings and lessons learned from CDC’s and HHS Office of Adolescent Health’s (OAH) communitywide teen pregnancy initiatives project (CWI). The project that began in 2010, initiated to demonstrate the effectiveness of reducing rates of teen pregnancy and births through innovative, multicomponent, and communitywide initiatives.

The CDC has updated its Chronic Disease Indicators (CDI) web application. The partnership between the CDC’s Division of Population Health in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists established the CDIs in 1999 to provide public health agencies with access to the most up-to-date, relevant, and uniformly-defined chronic disease surveillance data at the state and county level.
