The Society for Public Health Education has issued a Call for Public Comments on Draft School Health Educator Preparation Standards. These preparation standards are intended to serve as expectations for individuals graduating from a college or university prepared to teach health education at the K-12 level(s). The deadline for comments is March 15th.
The Health Impact Project which is a collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Pew Charitable Trusts is gathering input from federal, state, and local stakeholders and decision-makers about policies for the prevention and response to childhood lead exposure. The input gained from these sessions will be used to assist in shaping recommendations for a report to policymakers that will be released in spring of 2017.
In order to make the Women’s Preventive Service Initiative (WPSI recommendations as clear and transparent as possible, the draft recommendations have been posted on the website and are open to public comment. Any visitor to the website has the ability to comment on any of the listed documents for a 30 day period that began on September 1st, 2016.
