From the Kasier Family Foundation, the issue brief entitled, "Assessing the Impact of the Affordable Care Act on Health Insurance Coverage of People with HIV," takes a closer look at how Medicaid expansion and insurance marketplaces may affect the segment of the population living with HIV.    As the issue brief reports, of the approximately 1 million people living with HIV, only 407,000 are receiving care.
