Washington Study Finds Attitude on Healthy Eating Matters More than Where You Shop

Having a positive attitude towards healthy foods may be more important to diet quality than where people shop for groceries, according to a study by the University of Washington School of Public Health. Researchers from the School’s Center for Public Health Nutrition found that at low-cost supermarkets, for example, those with highly positive attitudes consumed twice as many fruits and vegetables as shoppers with neutral or negative attitudes towards healthy foods.
