NIH Director Statement on National Children's Study

Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D., Director, National Institutes of Health said in a Dec. 12, 2014 statement, "the [Advisory Committer to the Director (ACD)] considered the final report of the [National Children's Study (NCS)] working group. The report concluded that the overall goals of examining how environmental factors influence child health and development are meritorious and should continue to be a priority for future scientific support, but that the NCS as currently designed is not feasible."

HRSA Funding Opportunity: Child Safety Network Program

HRSA released a FOA for the Children's Safety Network Program. The purpose of this cooperative agreement program is to reduce fatal and serious injuries among infants, children and youth by 100,000 over the next three (3) years by increasing the adoption of effective child safety interventions at the national, state and local levels.
