Report: Excessive Alcohol Use A Leading Preventable Cause of Death; Shortens Life By 30 Years

A study published June 26 in Preventing Chronic Disease stated between 2006-2010 excessive alcohol use accounted for 1 in 10 of all deaths among working age adults ages 20-64. Furthermore CDC scientists analyzed data from the Alcohol-Related Disease Impact (ARDI) application for 2006-2010 and found that nearly 70% of deaths due to excessive drinking involved working-age adults.
