Collective Impact Learning Collaborative

By engaging in authentic collaboration, a health department can enhance the impact of their efforts to advance MCH priorities in their community. The Collective Impact Learning Collaborative (CILC) aims to increase local urban health departments' capacity to implement collective impact strategies to address Maternal and Child Health (MCH) priorities at the community level.

Distance Training Initiative

Through this Initiative, CityMatCH seeks to enhance the capacity of MCH professionals at the local level by providing effective knowledge and skills-building training through web-based modules.

Eliminating Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission

Beginning in September 1999, CityMatCH has been one of several national organizations funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention to advance the elmination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (EMCT).

Emerging MCH Issues

CityMatCH acts as a national voice in communicating urban MCH issues to local MCH leaders, members, and partners at the local, state, and national levels. This page will highlight emerging MCH issues in the field, providing timely resources and information on the most pressing MCH issues.

Institute for Equity in Birth Outcomes

The Institute for Equity in Birth Outcomes (Equity Institute) is a national initiative designed to strengthen the scientific focus and evidence base for realizing equity in birth outcomes in urban U.S. cities. During a two-year span, selected teams headed by CityMatCH member health departments will participate and receive training to support them as they select, implement, and evaluate an equity-focused project.

The MCH Life Course Toolbox is an online resource for those in the MCH field to share their ideas and find new strategies to integrate the Life Course Perspective into their work.

Perinatal Periods of Risk (PPOR)

Perinatal Periods of Risk (PPOR) is a comprehensive approach to help communities use data to reduce infant mortality. Designed for use in US cities with high infant mortality rates, PPOR  brings  community stakeholders together to build consensus and partnership based on local data.
