Well Women, Well Communities

Well Women, Well Communities is a 2-year (2018-2020) learning collaborative of local public health departments (LHDs) and their multi-sector community partners. This project aims to move the themes and recommendations identified through the Well-Woman Project (2017) to implementation. Teams will utilize a Women’s Community Advisory Board and foster authentic community engagement to determine an upstream and downstream initiative to address barriers and gaps within their communities that prevent women from accessing and utilizing preventive health care. While this project focuses on the well-woman visit and well-woman care, teams will improve women’s health and women’s access/utilization of preventive health care by addressing systems level issues within their communities. For more information on this project, see the application below.
